Succulent Garden

DSC_9379AI’ve been loving succulents a lot lately and the balcony of our new apartment is the perfect excuse to start some gardening. So on Saturday I went to the garden center and got 4 small succulents, a terracotta pot, earth and pebbles and got to work. Step 1 – Fill the bottom of the pot with pebbles. I used about half of the package. Step 2 – Fill the pot with earth, almost up to the brim, take the succulents out of the plastic containers and plant in the earth, applying pressure all around the roots. If necessary use some more of the earth, but leaving room for the pebbles. Step 3 – First place bigger pebbles all around, then fill in with smaller ones. Step 4 – Add 1 cup (300ml) of water. Repeat this once a week, that’s all the water they need. 1. Passo – Cobre o fundo do pote com pedras. Usei metade do pacote mais ou menos. 2. 4. Passo – Adicione 1 copo de água (300ml). Repita isso uma vez por semana, é toda água que elas precisam.DSC_9382A DSC_9383A DSC_9387A DSC_9389A DSC_9393A DSC_9395AThey like sunlight, but can be placed inside as well. Looks so pretty right? I love the contrast of terracotta, bright white stones and the green succulents. And it didn’t cost much at all. Whoever still prefers plastic plants after this, all hope is lost.
