If you consider yourself vain, the following words may not be very interesting. But the majority of women have a certain vanity and I am one of them.
When I first arrived in Floripa and started taking classes at the University, walking around downtown and going out at night, one of the things that repeatedly caught my attention (and does until today) was the incoherence of brazilian women when it comes to beauty.
Many of them get weekly manicures, spend half of the pay check on highlights, blowouts and treatments, some have extensions and almost all of them regularly wax - all of this for their every day.
And obviously, at night when they go out it takes several hours to get ready, their make up make any drag queen cry with envy, their hair is long, sleek and impeccable. The clothes are short and shine more that the discoball above and the heels make me loose my balance only by looking at them. Spectacular!
I completely understand why men turn their heads until they get stiff and keep the champagne coming. There is no competing, not that I try to because I go out for a different reason, but I admit that I catch myself analyzing them with a certain fascination. Mainly because during the day they are nobody.
During the day their clothes are less than basic, the make up is ignored and don't even think about a cute hairdo. After all, they are going to work. Nothing more.
During the day they don't value their beauty. This incoherence is what I can't seem to understand. I prefer to put together a nice look for the day and step it up a little at night, than to follow this 'all or nothing' mentality. Can you imagine a guy that takes home any of these girls? You can't touch their hair because you might pull out some fake hair, their boobs descend one floor or disappear entirely when Victoria's Secret falls to the ground and their faces with no make up on must be quite scary the morning after.
I'm not trying to say that you can only be beautiful, if you use make up, but since these girls find it so essential to look perfect at night, why don't they care at all about their look during the day?
I'm in favor of natural beauty where small tricks are allowed and I love a fun make up at night. I'm in favor of valuing yourself without using make up to paint a new face over your own. E I'm in favor of choosing a partner who sees your inner beauty.

Quando eu cheguei em Floripa pela primeira vez e comecei a atender aulas na UFSC, circular pelo centro e sair a noite, uma das coisas que mais chamava minha atenção (e chama até hoje) foi a incoerência das mulheres brasileiras na hora de se embelezar. Boa parte delas faz a unha no salão toda semana, gasta metade do salário em luzes, escova e hidratação, algumas colocam apliques, quase todas se depilam - tudo isso para o dia a dia. E claro, a noite quando vão na balada a produção pode levar horas, a maquiagem faz qualquer drag chorar de inveja, o cabelo é liso, longo e impecável. As roupas são curtas e brilham mais que o discoball no teto e o salto me faz perder o equilibro só de olhar. Um espetáculo! Entendo perfeitamente porque os homens viram a cabeça até ficar com torcicolo e descem as espumantchi. Não tem como competir, aliás nem quero porque meu objetivo na buatchi é outro, mas admito que já analisei muitas dessas meninas com uma certa fascinação. Principalmente porque de dia elas não são ninguém. De dia as roupas são mais que básicas, a maquiagem é deixada de lado e um penteado bonitinho - nem pensar. Afinal, elas estão indo trabalhar. Apenas. De dia elas não valorizam o que tem de bonito. Essa incoerência não entra na minha cabeça. Prefiro mil vezes estar com uma produção básica de dia e um capricho extra a noite, do que esse 8/80. Já imaginou o cara que leva uma menina dessas para casa? Não pode puxar o rabo de cavalo porque é capaz de arrancar o aplique, o peito desce um andar ou desaparece completamente quando Victoria's Secret cai no chão e a cara lavada sem reboco deve dar um susto no mínimo.
Não digo que a pessoa é bonita somente maquiada, mas se elas acham tão essencial estarem produzidas na balada, porque não ligam para sua aparência de dia? Sou a favor da beleza natural onde pequenos truques são válidos e super apoio uma produção divertida a noite. Sou a favor de se valorizar sem pintar uma segunda cara por cima da sua. E sou a favor de procurar uma companhia que enxerga a beleza dentro de você.Menos Carão, Mais Carisma!
