Lemon Loaf

I came across a dozen lemons and have been baking lemon loafs like a crazy person. Apart from Gin Tonics that's one of my favorite ways of using them. It's a cake that fresh and light at the same time. For a normal loaf you'll need: 200g of flour 200g of sugar 200g of butter 4 eggs 1 table spoon of baking powder Grinded peel of 1 lemon Mix everything together, if the butter is too cold I sometimes heat it up in the microwave. Works just fine. Once you get and even (and a bit liquid) dough, pour it into any cake form and bake at 175C. The time depends on you form, if it wide and flat, it'll bake faster (20-30min) than in a loaf (40-50min). For the glaze, use the juice of half a lemon mixed together with powder sugar. Para uma forma de tamanho comum precisa de: 200g de trigo 200g de açúcar 200g de manteiga 4 ovos 1 colher de fermento Casca ralada de 1 limão siciliano Misture tudo, se a manteiga estiver muito gelada, as vezes coloco no micro ondas para esquentar. Funciona tranquilamente. Quando tiver uma massa bonita (e um pouco liquida), coloque numa forma e asse em 175C. O tempo depende da forma, se ela for larga e baixa, o bolo fica pronto mais rápido (20-30min) e se for mais alta e estreita demora um pouco mais (40-50min). Para a cobertura usei o suco de meio limão misturado com açúcar de confeiteiro.
